Calling Men In as Allies for Gender Equality is a national online certification initiative in development with White Ribbon, Canada’s leading organization engaging men and boys in preventing gender-based violence. ROAR Creative Consulting is currently transforming this program into a fully interactive, bilingual (EN/FR) e-learning experience grounded in Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA+), using a practical, intersectional, and strength-based approach.
As the Online Learning Specialist and Digital Design Lead, I am leading the full development lifecycle—from content blueprinting, module storyboarding, and accessibility-compliant UX design to multimedia production, interactive learning features, pilot testing, and LMS integration. This work supports White Ribbon’s ongoing mission to foster gender equity through meaningful male allyship and systemic change, and there will be 6 modules included in the certification course, of which we are currently midway through completing and engaged with Community of Practice review and feedback.
EVALUATION
ROAR Creative Consulting is leading the design and execution of the evaluation framework, focusing on knowledge transfer, behavioural change, and learning outcomes for men and boys engaged through the training and broader community of practice.
As the lead evaluator, I am implementing a mixed-methods, utilization-focused approach that includes surveys, interviews, focus groups, and learning analytics to generate actionable insights. This evaluation process supports White Ribbon’s efforts to build a practical, evidence-informed, and equity-driven GBA+ program that strengthens allyship and supports systemic change across sectors.
