An interdisciplinary creative, social media strategist and artist, (Xara Choral Theatre, Heritage Canada) Selena has over 10 years of experience writing and editing for acclaimed publications, (CBC, Babble Media, Disney, United Way’s Local Love, Today’s Parent, The Mighty, Quill & Quire) social management (Manitobah Mukluks, Pendleton Canada, Future History TV) B2B, mentoring and not-for-profit content creation, brand building, design and consulting services (Barrie Native Friendship Centre, The City of Barrie, Women’s College Hospital).
Predominantly collaborating with Indigenous creatives and media professionals Selena is passionate about elevating First Nations, Métis and Inuit stories, perspectives and voices in digital media and consulting on Indigenous-led partnerships and representation within colonial institutions (Rogers, The City of Barrie, Women’s College Hospital). She strives to build bridges renegade style, and is busy growing from a one womxn operation to building a small boutique agency dedicated to hiring Indigenous and providing non-linear skills training opportunities for youth. When the chaos permits, Selena is a Director on the DarkSpark Board and is a part of the Elementary Teacher’s Federation of Ontario’s Land Acknowledgement Advisory.
